Spitronics is continuously improving and designing new electronics. The VENUS ECU is the replacement of the TITAN ECU.
As laptops no longer have RS232 ports on board, we also removed the RS232 IC from the ECU and the USB cable.
The VENUS is now working directly from USB to UART which the Micro understands.
This is a cost saving on manufacturing which means no increase necessary to you the customer.
It also means that there are two less components which can fail or use power.
You will require a new USB cable for the VENUS. It cannot work with the older USB to RS232 Converter cable and it cannot work with direct serial ports found on older laptops.
The USB IC is an expensive chip so we decided to keep it in the communications cable because it is only used during tuning. This reduces manufacturing cost on the ECU which again is the benefit to you the customer.
The VENUS will replace the Titan shortly but it is fully backwards compatible except for the USB cable.
The firmware is different and stats with E3. So when upgrading please ensure that you have the correct HEX files available.
You will be able to upgrade a TITAN to the VENUS as per our usual PCB replacement price.
New development of firmware will only happen on the VENUS ECU. We will stock TITAN ECUs for replacement for the rest of this year.
Then we will replace only with the VENUS ECU. It will not affect our service to you our valued customer.

laptop, connect your laptop to the ECU with the communication cable, install a lambda sensor, and
you will be able to maximize your engine’s output with regards to speed, power, or fuel
consumption.
